Pasqually P. Pieplate is the drummer for Munch's Make Believe Band at Chuck E. Cheese restaurants. He is also a chief pizza chef and an aspiring comedian. His name is a phonetic misspelling of the Italian name Pasquale.

History[]

Pizza Time Theater (1977-1989)[]

Pasqually P. Pieplate was an original Pizza Time Player along with Chuck E. Cheese, Jasper T. Jowls, Crusty the Cat, and The Warblettes. He was originally placed behind a set of doors and called the pizza orders (this was later stopped because it required too much work from the technicians). In the original show tapes, he was voiced by Joe Spano, who gave Pasqually a very thick Italian accent, which was gradually softened to give him a more friendly voice.

When the Balcony Stage, debuted, Pasqually was placed to the far right of the stage and given an accordion. Pasqually would often find various ways to mess with Chuck E. Cheese, along with the rest of the Pizza Time Players. In 1986, Bob West was brought in to voice Pasqually.

Showbiz Pizza Time (1990-1998)[]

In the late 1980s when Showbiz Pizza created the Concept Unification Prototype to test phasing the Rock Afire Explosion out of Showbiz, Pasqually was supposed to utilize the mech of Fatz Geronimo, and was moved over to stage right, replacing Billy Bob.

After the prototype was scrapped, Concept Unification began at former ShowBiz locations and Dook Larue was converted to Pasqually, making him the drummer of Munch's Make Believe Band. While Bob West continued to provide Pasqually's voice, there was a series of voice actors used when Disney produced their own shows. These actors include Joel McCary, Doug Moncrief, along with West.

Chuck E. Cheese in the Galaxy 5000 (1999)[]

Pasqually appeared in the 1999 direct to video release Chuck E. Cheese in the Galaxy 5000. In the film, he was portrayed by Steven Lange, who did not portray him as a walkaround character. Instead, Pasqually was a real person.

Chuck E. Cheese's (1998- Present)[]

In 1998 with the introduction of Studio C, Pasqually was no longer manufactured as an animatronic, as he was phased out in favor of the 32-movement Chuck E. Cheese bot. Starting in 1999, he would be portrayed as a puppet on-screen, along with the other side characters. He was also given a new voice by Earl Fisher. He remained mostly the same as his previous incarnations, until 2014. Pasqually was redesigned in 2014 to a new "Rockstar" look.

Pasqually is the first Chuck E. Cheese character besides Chuck E. Cheese himself to get a brand trademark, that being "Pasqually's Pizza & Wings", the order service of Chuck E. Cheese on GrubHub.
Unlike other characters such as Jasper T. Jowls and Helen Henny, Pasqually’s surname "Pieplate" is rarely used; he is generally referred to as simply "Pasqually" or as "Pasqually the Chef".
In the Avenger Era it's revealed that one of Pasqually's hobbies is collecting mold, spores, and fungi.
He is often compared to the Nintendo character Mario.
